Artist's Description
We all like to eat out and enjoy fine wine and food. The couple in the painting, L'Addition S'il Vous Plait, are doing just that. They have enjoyed food but unfortunately too much wine has accompanied their meal. They now find themselves falling under the table bringing the content of the table, table cloth, plates, utensils, wine, glasses down with them. Obviously unconcerned as they are still in fits of laughter, but it is time for the bill, and as they are in France, there's only a few words they can say, L'Addition S'il Vous Plait, can we have the bill please.

gads, we have all had these evening, great expression of that MOMENT ... if you can still say 'addition' by then. love your colors and drawings. awesome
James Lavott replied:
Christine; thanks for the comments, glad you like the piece and you seem to be able relate to the situation, they've certainly had enough and is now time for the bill! the piece was inspired by Dali's Still Life Moving Fast, with my Wine Bar Scene overtones. Regards James
